LAP50 Ultra Trail by Rotary Famalicão

The Turns of the Impossible 2026

As Voltas do Impossível 2026 is an UltraTrail adventure taking place in the Serra da Freita near Rio de Frades, Arouca, Portugal. The event is scheduled for May 23, 2026, featuring a challenging course of approximately 105 km divided into 5 laps of about 21 km each with 1500 m elevation gain per lap.

The race is limited to 50 participants and has a total time limit of 15 hours. Athletes must complete all laps within specific cutoff times, with the first three laps considered a “Fun Race” with a 9-hour cutoff, and the fourth lap having a 3-hour limit. Participants who finish all 5 laps will have their names engraved on a slate stone near Rio de Frades.

The race starts and finishes on the bridge in Rio de Frades, with the direction alternating each lap. Navigation is supported by a GPS track and occasional course markings. The event has a unique atmosphere of endurance and respect, including a tribute with the silence call “Taps” for those who withdraw.

19th ULTRA MARATHON CAMINHOS DO TEJO

The XIX Ultra Maratona Caminhos do Tejo is an ultramarathon event taking place on June 5 and 6, 2026, from Lisbon to Fátima, Portugal. It features two race distances: 144 km starting at Parque das Nações in Lisbon and 58 km starting in Santarém, both finishing at the Sanctuary of Fátima.

Bracarvs Backyard Ultra Vila Verde – 3rd Edition

The 3rd Edition of the Bracarvs Backyard Ultra will take place on June 6, 2026, in Vila Verde, at Praia Fluvial do Faial. This ultra running event features a loop course of 6.706 km that must be completed every hour.

Participants must complete each loop within one hour to continue, with a new start every hour. The winner is the last runner to complete a loop alone within the time limit. The race continues until only one runner remains or no one completes the loop in time.

The event is open to runners aged 18 to 90 years and offers personalized bibs, event t-shirts, light liquid and solid refreshments, and prizes including entry to the Portuguese national team for the world final in October 2026. The course includes trails, municipal roads, and asphalt with about 30 meters of positive elevation gain, marked with reflective signage for night running.

Douro Montemuro Ultra Trails 2026

The Douro Montemuro Ultra Trilhos 2026 is a trail running event organized by Associação Desportiva Cinfães a Correr (ADCC), taking place on June 7, 2026, in the municipality of Cinfães, Portugal. 17th TRAIL DE CONIMBRIGA TERRAS DE SICÓ
