Event summary
The 16th Trail AM returns to Barcelos on 15 November 2026, inviting runners to experience the region’s stunning trails through an event that combines nature, challenge and adventure. Organised by Amigos da Montanha, Trail AM has become one of northern Portugal’s leading trail running events, taking participants through forests, hills and rural landscapes on demanding yet rewarding routes.
The programme features three competitive races — the 50 km Ultra Trail, 32 km Long Trail and 16 km Short Trail — alongside a 10 km non-competitive hike. Designed for runners of different experience levels, each course offers a mix of steep climbs, technical descents and flowing singletracks, showcasing the natural beauty surrounding Barcelos.

Environmental Responsibility
All waste must be disposed of at the designated aid stations.
Event Changes
If the course is modified or the event is cancelled due to adverse weather or other exceptional circumstances, registration fees will not be refunded.
