The Vila Baleeira Trail Run (VBT) is a trail running event taking place on November 15, 2026, in the municipality of Lajes do Pico, Pico Island, Azores. Organized by the Sports Department of the Municipality of Lajes do Pico, the event aims to provide athletes with a unique trail running experience across natural trails, rural paths and water lines of the region.
The event includes four participation formats: Trail (30 km), Trail Sprint (18 km), Trail Curto (10 km) and a non-competitive walk (8 km). The 30 km race also serves as the final stage of the Portugal Trail Cup (ATRP) for the 2025/2026 season.
Participants will explore diverse natural landscapes around Lajes do Pico, with courses designed to offer different levels of technical and physical difficulty suitable for both experienced runners and newcomers to trail running.
The Trail Terras de Sal e Serra 2026 is a trail running event taking place on November 15, 2026, in Rio Maior, Santarém district. The event features three distances: a Long Trail of approximately 32 km with 1400 meters of elevation gain, a Short Trail of approximately 18 km with 800 meters of elevation gain, and a Mini Trail/Walk of approximately 11 km with 400 meters of elevation gain.
All races start at the Salinas de Rio Maior and finish at the Pavilhão Multiusos de Rio Maior, passing through the Serra dos Candeeiros. The Mini Trail/Walk allows participants to choose between running competitively or walking to enjoy the scenery, with timing and finisher medals for all.
The event includes multiple age categories for the Long and Short Trails, with no categories for the Mini Trail/Walk, making it accessible to a wide range of participants.
The Sporting Race is a running event taking place on November 15, 2026, starting at Praça Promenade and finishing inside the José Alvalade Stadium. It welcomes participants of all ages for a morning full of sport.

The 10th Trail Carreiros do Pastor Arrimalano returns to the trails of Porto de Mós on November 21 and 22, 2026, for a weekend dedicated to trail running, hiking, and outdoor adventure in the Serra de Aire e Candeeiros Natural Park.
Organized by CCRD Arrimal/Morcegos, the event includes a competitive 20 km Trail Sprint, a 12 km Mini-Trail, a recreational 10 km walk, and a Kids Run for younger athletes. The routes explore technical trails, forest roads, rural paths, and the characteristic limestone landscapes surrounding the village of Arrimal.
Combining competition with a strong community atmosphere, the event offers a complete trail experience with marked courses, aid stations, electronic timing, athlete support services, and activities for different age groups. The Trail Carreiros do Pastor Arrimalano has become one of the reference trail running events in the Porto de Mós region.

Participation is only allowed in the solo category, requiring athletes to have completed at least one race awarding 4 ITRA points between January 2024 and September 2026.
