    II Triathlon of Vila Nova de Paiva

    The Triatlo de Vila Nova de Paiva takes place on August 22 and 23, 2026, in Touro, Vila Nova de Paiva, Viseu District. The event combines youth and adult multisport competitions, hosting the Northern Youth Championship, Northern Absolute Championship, Northern Individual Championship and several open races.

    Organized by Associação Malhadinhas Clube in partnership with the Municipality of Vila Nova de Paiva and the Parish Council of Touro, with technical support from the Portuguese Triathlon Federation, the event offers Aquathlon, Triathlon and Duathlon races adapted to different age groups and experience levels.

    The competitions take place around Parque Urbano do Touro and the Rio Côvo, featuring swimming, cycling and running courses on local roads and urban streets.     II Merelim São Paio Aquathlon

    The Merelim São Paio Aquathlon returns on 29 August 2026 in Braga, bringing together youth athletes, age-group competitors and experienced triathletes for a day of racing along the banks of the Cávado River. Organised under the technical supervision of the Portuguese Triathlon Federation, the event hosts the North Absolute Championship, North Individual Championship, North Youth Championship and several Open races.

    The programme includes Youth Aquathlon races with age-adapted distances, a Super Sprint Aquathlon and a Sprint Aquathlon, as well as a relay competition for two-person teams. Swimming takes place at Merelim São Paio River Beach, while the running course follows a flat dirt riverside cycle path, creating a fast and spectator-friendly race environment.

    Whether competing for championship titles or simply taking part in the open races, participants can enjoy a professionally organised event suitable for all levels of experience.
