Ponta Delgada Backyard - Juventude Ilha Verde

The Backyard JIV 2026 is an ultramarathon endurance race taking place on June 20, 2026, in the Reserva Florestal de Recreio do Pinhal da Paz. Participants run consecutive laps of an approximately 6.7 km marked trail, aiming to complete each lap within one hour and recover in the remaining time before the next lap.

The event is open to all athletes aged 18 and over who meet the registration requirements. The race challenges physical and mental stamina, with no fixed finish time; the winner is the last runner remaining in the competition.
