Event summary
The A Grandíssima – 19th Stage of the Volta is an amateur competitive cycling event that takes place alongside Portugal’s most iconic cycling race, the Volta a Portugal. Held on 11 August 2026 in Santa Maria da Feira, it gives cyclists the opportunity to experience the atmosphere of the professional race while crossing the same finish line.
The event covers 88 km, starting and finishing at Europarque. To maximise safety, the first 40 km are ridden behind the organisation vehicle at a controlled pace, followed by 48 km of free riding, allowing participants to ride at their own rhythm.
Open to road bikes, mountain bikes and tandems, the event combines the challenge of a competitive sportive with full event support, including electronic timing, mechanical assistance, medical services and a finisher medal.
