Event summary
The UCVNF Cycling Training Championship is a cycling event for children aged 2 to 16, taking place from May to September 2026 in Jesufrei, Avidos, and Vila Nova de Famalicão, Portugal. It consists of three races on different terrains: a mostly dirt BTT/XCO circuit in Jesufrei, an asphalt road race in Avidos, and a mixed urban race in Vila Nova de Famalicão’s Devesa park.
The championship is open to all children who enjoy and are capable of riding a bicycle, with categories from Sub-5 to Sub-17 based on age. It aims to promote cycling as a sport and healthy activity for youth, offering varied experiences across different terrains to develop skills and confidence.
Each race awards medals to the top three boys and girls per category, with trophies for the top three overall scorers after all three events and participation diplomas for those completing all races. The event encourages family and community involvement in a festive atmosphere.

• Jesufrei: 99% dirt terrain with some obstacles
• Avidos: fully asphalt circuit
• Vila Nova de Famalicão: mixed urban terrain
Course format: Closed circuits adapted to each age category
Prizes: Medals for top 3 per gender and category per race, trophies for top 3 overall per category, diplomas for participants completing all three races
