Event summary
The municipalities of Loures and Odivelas are organizing the Loures-Odivelas-Loures Half Marathon for the fourth time on September 20, 2026. Under the slogan “Together for Sports,” the two municipalities are joining forces to revive a track and field event that took place in the 1980s and 1990s and connected the two cities. Coinciding with European Sports Week, the initiative also includes a 10km run, a 5km walk, and a kids’ race for the little ones the day before.
We officially announce that the Loures-Odivelas-Loures Half Marathon has been certified by World Athletics with the international measurement certificate. This prestigious recognition attests to the accuracy of the course distance, in accordance with the rigorous international standards of the world’s leading athletics body.
Obtaining the international measurement certificate is a significant milestone. This seal of quality not only guarantees participants that the race meets the standards required for high-level competitions, but also opens the door to the ratification of records and results for national and international rankings.

• September 20, 08:00–09:30 at start location (only for athletes from outside the municipality, with prior email request)
Participant limit: 2000 participants total across all events
Timing method: Electronic chip included in bib
Toilets and aid station placement: Multiple aid stations with solid and liquid supplies along the course and at the finish
Prizes: Trophies for top 3 overall and age categories in Half Marathon and 10 km; team trophies for Half Marathon; medals for finishers and participation medals for kids
