* The 4-km race (Masters AA) is open exclusively to holders of a valid sports license from the Portuguese Swimming Federation (FPN), other equivalent federations affiliated with World Aquatics and European Aquatics, as well as other swimmers invited by the Organizing Committee, who, as of December 31, 2026, are 25 years of age or older (athletes born in 2001 or earlier).
This race is part of the 2026 National Open Water Circuit.
4 km Triathlon Affiliates 4 km
* The 4-km race (Triathlon Affiliates) is open exclusively to holders of a valid sports license from the Portuguese Triathlon Federation (FTP), World Triathlon, or the European Triathlon Union (ETU), as well as other swimmers invited by the Organizing Committee, who, as of December 31, 2026, are 18 years of age or older (athletes born in 2008 or earlier).
4 km AA Affiliates 4 km
* The 4-km race (AA Members) is open exclusively to holders of a valid sports license from the Portuguese Swimming Federation (FPN), other equivalent federations affiliated with World Aquatics and European Aquatics, as well as other swimmers invited by the Organizing Committee, who, as of December 31, 2026, are 14 years of age or older (born in 2012 or earlier)

* In the 4-kilometer race under the “Non-Competitive” category, athletes holding valid sports licenses from the Portuguese Swimming Federation (FPN) in any discipline may participate, as well as other swimmers invited by the Organizing Committee. All registrations in this category are subject to approval by the Organizing Committee.
