Event summary
The 18th Maratona “Rota do Medronho” is a mountain bike marathon event taking place on June 28, 2026, in Amoreiras-Gare, Beja, Portugal. The race offers two distances: a Half Marathon of approximately 53 km and a full Marathon of 74 km.
Open to both male and female participants, including juniors aged 17-18 (only for the Half Marathon), elites, and masters in various age categories. The event is organized by Grupo Desportivo e Recreativo de Amoreiras-Gare in collaboration with the Municipality of Odemira and other partners.
The race promotes local sport and economic development, with GPS tracks provided to participants before the event, and includes individual and team classifications with monetary prizes and trophies for top finishers.
