The II Duatlo Cross de Salir will take place on October 17, 2026, in the Parish of Salir (Loulé), as part of the Algarve and Baixo Alentejo Championship.
Organized by the Associação Cultural de Salir, in partnership with the Junta de Freguesia de Salir, and supported by the Municipality of Loulé and the Portuguese Triathlon Federation (FTP), this off-road duathlon combines running and mountain biking through the natural landscapes of the Algarve interior.
The event includes two races:
Duatlo Cross de Salir (Sprint Distance) – 6th stage of the Algarve and Baixo Alentejo Absolute Championship.
Relay Race (Team Event) – Sprint distance for teams of two or three athletes.
It’s an exciting and challenging event that blends sportsmanship, community, and the rugged beauty of Salir’s terrain — perfect for duathlon lovers and outdoor enthusiasts.
Só Para Bravos is a firefighter-inspired endurance challenge organized by the Entroncamento Volunteer Fire Brigade, designed to test the physical and mental resilience of participants through a demanding course completed in full wildfire protection equipment.
Held inside Parque Verde do Bonito, the event recreates operational conditions faced by emergency and civil protection forces, requiring all participants to complete an approximately 1.5 km mixed-terrain route while carrying full forest firefighting PPE, including Fire Shelter equipment.
Open to firefighters, forest sapper teams, armed forces and other civil protection entities, the challenge combines endurance, discipline and operational readiness in a unique competition environment focused on resilience and overcoming limits.
IRONMAN 70.3 Cascais delivers a bucket-list half-distance on Portugal’s Atlantic coast: a sunrise swim in Cascais Bay, a rolling bike course featuring a unique loop inside the Estoril Formula 1 circuit, and an energetic coastal half-marathon lined with supporters. Mild weather, beaches, and Lisbon just 30 minutes away make this a perfect race-and-holiday combo. The event has earned Athletes’ Choice recognition and serves as a qualifier towards the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship.
The Meia Maratona Leiria is a prestigious running event taking place on October 18, 2026, in Leiria, Portugal. It features four race segments: a half marathon (21K), a 10K race, a 500m Kids Race for parents and children, and a 5K walk open to all ages.

The III Trail de Rio de Moinhos is a trail running event taking place on October 18, 2026, in Nossa Sra. Dos Prazeres, Rio de Moinhos, Sátão, Viseu. It offers three routes: a Trail of approximately 23 km, a Mini Trail of approximately 13 km, and a Walk of approximately 11 km.
The event is open to participants aged 16 and over for the Trail and Mini Trail distances, while the Walk has no age restrictions but minors must be accompanied by a legal guardian. The race features marked courses with solid and liquid aid stations and provides access to showers at the finish.
Participants receive a race kit including a bib, event t-shirt, insurance, and lunch token. The event includes individual classifications by gender and age categories, with prizes for top finishers and special awards for the most represented team and the oldest participant.
The Sunset Trail São João das Barreiras is a trail running and walking event taking place on June 20, 2026, in São João das Barreiras, Vila Cova, Barcelos. It offers a competitive 14 km trail run over technical trails with significant elevation and a non-competitive 7 km family walk through rural paths and waterfalls.
