The 3rd Fúria Trail Sunset is a trail running event taking place on August 8-9, 2026, in Freixianda, Ourém. The VIII Vila Chã Aldeia Trail is a trail running event taking place on August 9, 2026, in Vila Chã – Fornos de Algodres, Portugal. It is part of the Circuito de Trail da Beira Alta 2026 and serves as the 6th stage of this series.
The event offers multiple distances: a long trail of approximately 22 km with 800 meters of elevation gain, a short trail of approximately 14 km with 500 meters of elevation gain, a mini trail and a walk of approximately 9 km with 200 meters of elevation gain. The long and short trails are open to all participants aged 18 and over, while the mini trail is open to participants aged 11 to 14 with parental consent.

The 23rd Lagoa – Jorge Lamy Open Water Race takes place on August 9, 2026, at Praia Grande, Ferragudo, in Lagoa (Algarve). This event is part of the XIX National Open Water Circuit 2025–2026, organized under the Portuguese Swimming Federation (FPN).
Held in Atlantic sea conditions along the Algarve coast, the competition features a 2000m official Circuit race for Open Water (AA) and Masters AA swimmers, alongside 1000m and 200m promotional events. The race contributes to the national ranking standings.

The Feirense Backyard Ultra is an ultra-distance running event taking place on August 15, 2026, at the Complexo Desportivo Rodrigo Nunes in Santa Maria da Feira, Portugal. The race starts at 10:00 AM and follows the backyard ultra format, where runners complete 6.706 km loops every hour until only one runner remains.
Participants must complete each loop within one hour to continue, with rest time depending on their loop completion speed. The event is open to runners aged 18 and over, with no license required. The winner is the last athlete to complete a loop alone within the time limit.

The Resistência BTT CRC S.GENS 2026 is a competitive mountain bike endurance event taking place on August 16, 2026, at Rua da Escola, Pinhel, Ourém. The race offers two endurance formats: a 2-hour and a 3-hour race, both sharing the same circuit.
Open to the general public, participants do not require a sports license from the Portuguese Cycling Federation. Minors under 18 may participate in the 2-hour race with a signed responsibility waiver. The circular course is approximately 5 km per lap with medium difficulty and a positive elevation gain of 130 meters per lap, marked with ribbons, arrows, and other signage.
The event features multiple age categories for men and women, trophies for top finishers, and awards for the best teams and e-bike participants. The race atmosphere is competitive and organized by the Centro Recreativo e Cultural S.Gens.
