Great Trail Serra D'Arga
Event summary
The Grande Trail da Serra D’Arga is a trail running event taking place from October 2 to 4, 2026, in the Serra d’Arga region of Portugal. It features multiple race distances including 100 km, 50 km, 31 km, 17 km, 15 km, a 12 km walk, and a kids’ trail with distances from 250 m to 2100 m.

• GTSA 100km: 24 hours with intermediate cut-offs at km 50 (10 hours) and km 80 (19 hours)

• GTSA 31km, 17km, and 15km: no time limits
Registration deadline: September 25, 2026
Surface types: Mountain trails with technical terrain and significant elevation changes
Course format: Circular routes for all distances
Race routes:
• GTSA 100km: Caminha, Vila Praia de Âncora, Dem, Arga de Baixo, Arga de Cima, Cerquido, Montaria, Pedrulhos, finish in Dem
• GTSA 50km: Circular route starting and finishing in Dem, passing through villages and natural landmarks
• GTSA 31km, 17km, 15km, Caminhada 12km, and Kids races: Circular routes starting and finishing in São Lourenço da Montaria
Timing method: Electronic chip timing integrated into bib
Toilets and aid station placement:
• Multiple aid stations per distance with liquids and food; athletes must carry their own hydration containers
Parking and shuttle details: Participants must arrange their own transport; transfer available for 100km participants from Dem to Caminha upon request
Drop bag policy: For GTSA 100km, drop bags accepted before start and transported to Base de Vida
Prizes: Trophies awarded for overall and age categories; team classification prizes based on top 3 athletes’ times
