The VI Meeting Águas Abertas da Goma is an open water swimming event scheduled for August 1, 2026, at Barragem das Andorinhas in Sobradelo da Goma, Póvoa de Lanhoso, Portugal. This challenging competition attracts some of the best national athletes and amateurs determined to push their limits.
The event offers distances of 500m, 1500m, and 3000m, with the 3000m race being part of the 2026 National Open Water Circuit. Participation is open to swimmers aged 14 and older, including federated athletes and amateurs, with a special 3000m race allowing neoprene wetsuits and GPS watches but not counting for the national circuit.
The venue is a pristine natural reservoir in a scarcely explored area of Minho, providing a unique and scenic setting for the competition.
