Participation is open to swimmers aged 14 and older, including federated athletes and amateurs, with a special 3000m race allowing neoprene wetsuits and GPS watches but not counting for the national circuit.
The venue is a pristine natural reservoir in a scarcely explored area of Minho, providing a unique and scenic setting for the competition.
