Event summary
The Gravel Meeting is a gravel cycling event taking place on October 3-4, 2026, in the Alentejo and Ribatejo regions of Portugal. Participants can choose between two race distances on the Race Day: approximately 80 km with 1000 m elevation gain or approximately 140 km with 2000 m elevation gain.
The event is open to both licensed and non-licensed athletes aged 18 and over, with minors allowed only with parental authorization and accompaniment. It offers a semi-autonomous format emphasizing respect for nature and self-sufficiency, with limited official support points.
The two-day experience includes a Social Ride & Community Experience on day one and the competitive Race Day on day two, featuring scenic rural and natural landscapes. The atmosphere combines adventure, camaraderie, and sustainability, with additional social activities such as a gravel party and after-ride events.

Bib pick-up time and location: Check-in includes Welcome Coffee and Pack Gravel Meeting on event days
Participants limit: Up to 200 participants for Day 1 and Day 2 combined
Surface types: Gravel cycling on natural and rural roads, with open or partially open traffic
Course format: Semi-autonomous format with mandatory GPS navigation using official GPX files
Race routes:
• Short route: approx. 80 km, medium difficulty, +1000 m elevation
• Long route: approx. 140 km, medium/high difficulty, +2000 m elevation
Timing method: Chip timing or self-registration with classification and results
Toilets and aid station placement: 1 to 2 official support points with water, food, and basic mechanical assistance
Prizes: Symbolic non-monetary prizes for top 3 by gender and age category; finisher medal for all finishers
