🏃 Almada Half Marathon — May 10 | Almada

One of the most popular half marathons in the Lisbon area, featuring a riverside route with views over the Tagus River. The event also includes 10 km and 5 km distances, making it accessible to runners of different levels. Well organised and with a great atmosphere.

🏅 Fernanda Ribeiro Race — May 10 | Maia

A race with history and meaning: it honours Fernanda Ribeiro, one of Portugal’s greatest athletes. An accessible urban course with strong ties to the northern running community.

🌳 Lisboa Green Trail — May 24 | Lisbon, Monsanto

Trail running inside Lisbon itself. Lisboa Green Trail takes place in Monsanto, the city’s largest green area, with distances including K22 trail, K12 trail, and a 6 km kids race. Ideal if you want to try trail running without leaving the capital.

🍷 Douro Vinhateiro Half Marathon — May 24 | Peso da Régua

A half marathon set in one of Portugal’s most beautiful landscapes: the Alto Douro Wine Region, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The course runs alongside vineyards with the Douro River as a backdrop. A race that is also a full experience. Includes a 5 km distance as well.

🏃 FPF Run — May 17 | Jamor, Lisbon

Organised by the Portuguese Football Federation, the FPF Run has grown year after year and is now one of Lisbon’s most popular races. A 10 km course inside the Jamor sports complex with strong participation and solid organisation.

🌊 Douro Run Half Marathon — June 7 | Gondomar

Along the Douro River, with a fast and flat course — ideal if you’re aiming for a personal best. Includes 5 km, 10 km, and 21 km distances. One of the best organised half marathons in northern Portugal.

🌊 Meia Maratona na Areia — June 14 | Costa da Caparica

Running on the sand at Costa da Caparica is a completely different experience from any other race. Physically demanding but with a unique atmosphere — ocean on one side, spectators along the beach, and a route you won’t forget. Includes 10 km and 21 km distances.

🌸 “The Most Beautiful Race in Portugal” — June 14 | Figueira da Foz

The name says it all. The course starts at Praia de Quiaios, climbs through Serra da Boa Viagem, and finishes at Torre do Relógio in Figueira da Foz — always with the Atlantic Ocean as a backdrop. A 10 km race that is also a memorable scenic experience.
