    Oeiras Open Water Race 2026

    The Oeiras Open Water Race 2026 is an open water swimming competition taking place on May 30, 2026, at Praia de Caxias in Oeiras, Portugal. The event offers three distances: 750 meters, 1,500 meters, and 3,000 meters, with an option to compete in all three distances through a special pack.

    Participation is open to individuals and teams aged 15 and above. The race features staggered starts with groups of eight swimmers every 10 seconds, and mandatory use of a swim cap and timing chip provided by the organization. There is also a children’s race integrated into the Jogos de Oeiras.

    The race course consists of laps starting and finishing on the beach, with the 3,000-meter race requiring two laps. The event is organized by Clube Olímpico de Oeiras with support from the Câmara Municipal de Oeiras and HMS Sports, promising a competitive and well-supported open water swimming experience in the Atlantic Ocean.
