Event summary
The Viseu OCR Police Challenge is an obstacle course race taking place on July 18, 2026, at Parque Urbano Radial de Santiago, Viseu. This event features a 5 km course with approximately 30 obstacles that test strength, endurance, balance, and coordination, including natural and pre-installed challenges involving water and mud.
The race is divided into two categories: ELITE, a competitive individual race starting at 09:00 with official timing and podium prizes, and FUN, a more playful category for beginners or those seeking enjoyment with friends and family, with staggered starts and no official timing. The event fosters a festive atmosphere of personal challenge and community.
As the final stage of the national OCR circuit TRICHALLENGE, the Viseu OCR Police Challenge offers exclusive obstacles and the opportunity to score points towards the national championship, making it a highlight for OCR athletes across Portugal.

Age categories/divisions:
• ELITE: 16 years and older
Start/finish locations: Parque Urbano Radial de Santiago, Viseu
Start times per category/distance:
• ELITE: 09:00
• FUN: 10:00–11:00 and 14:30–17:30 (starts with 40 athletes every 10 minutes)
Cut-off times:
• ELITE: 50 minutes
• FUN and OPEN: 1 hour 30 minutes
Participants limit:
• FUN: 800 athletes
• ELITE: 120 athletes
Surface types: 5 km course with natural and pre-installed obstacles including water and mud
Course format: Super sprint with approximately 30 obstacles

Timing method: Chip timing mandatory for ELITE category
Toilets and aid station placement:
• Two aid stations: intermediate point with water; finish line with water, fruit, and finisher kit
Prizes:
• ELITE general classification prizes with cash and trophies for top 5 (M/F)
• ELITE age group trophies/medals for categories 16-20, 21-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50+
• Trophy for largest team
• Finisher medal for all participants
