Paiva Montemuro Trail 2026
Event summary
The Paiva Montemuro Trail 2026 is a trail running event taking place on September 6, 2026, in Castro Daire, Portugal. It features two competitive races: a Long Trail of 30 km and a Short Trail of 15 km, as well as a non-competitive 12 km hike.
The event is open to all participants meeting the age requirements (18+ for competitive races, 14+ for the hike with parental authorization). The trails traverse the natural beauty of the Paiva River and Montemuro Mountain, including technical singletracks, riverbanks, and mountainous terrain with notable points such as Fragas do Inferno and old mines.
The race atmosphere promotes fair play and respect for nature, with organized aid stations, electronic timing, and a post-race meal and shower facilities. Awards and prize money are provided for top finishers in both male and female categories across various age groups and teams.
