Alhandra Triathlon

The TRITON 1 Lisboa 2026 is a triathlon event taking place on September 5 & 6, 2026, in Lisboa, celebrating 20 years of triathlon history. This race is part of the TRITON World Series and offers three different race distances: Short, Middle, and Full, catering to a wide range of athletes.

The event is open to individual competitors as well as corporate teams, with a special Kids and Parents swim & run challenge adding a family-friendly atmosphere. The course features a lake swim, rolling hills for the bike segment, and a flat run route, promising a varied and engaging race experience.

The Federação de Triatlo de Portugal organizes various triathlon events throughout the year, including national championships and club competitions. These events take place across different regions of Portugal, such as Algarve, Lisboa, and Madeira, offering a wide range of distances and formats suited for all athlete levels.

Open to both licensed and age group athletes, many races are integrated into national and international cups, providing competitive opportunities from grassroots to elite levels. The Madeira Swimrun is an annual swimrun race held on the island of Madeira, known as the “Pearl of the Atlantic.” This event offers a unique challenge combining swimming and running, with a course that starts offshore at Ponta de São Lourenço and finishes in the city of Machico.

The race features two main distances: the Standard with a total of 25.510 km (3.360 km swimming and 22.150 km running) and the Sprint with a total of 11.380 km (2.230 km swimming and 9.150 km running). Both formats include multiple transitions and significant elevation gain, challenging participants with diverse trails and sea crossings.

Open to all athletes, the race is organized locally by the Ludens Machico club with support from the Madeira Regional Triathlon Association. The event highlights Madeira’s stunning landscapes, mild climate, and the thrill of ocean and mountain terrain, creating a festive and adventurous atmosphere for participants from Portugal and abroad.

The Triatlo Costa Nova is an Olympic triathlon event (swimming, cycling, running) taking place on September 12, 2026, in Costa Nova do Prado, Portugal. The race features distances of 1500m swim, 40km cycling, and 10km running.

Participation is open to all in individual categories and relay teams (triples). The event promotes competitive and leisure sports practice in an open race format.

The course includes a swim along the ria, cycling with four laps between Costa Nova and the 1st roundabout of Vagueira, and a 10km run on the bike path and pedestrian way in the Costa Nova garden area.
