20th Run of the Bridges

The XIII BTT and Walk of the Celorico da Beira Firefighters will take place on May 31, 2026, in Celorico da Beira, Guarda. This event includes a 30 km mountain bike ride and a 10 km walk, both non-competitive and open to all registered participants.

The mountain bike route features medium to high difficulty over rural trails, paths, and municipal roads, with marked signage and support vehicles along the course. The walk follows the same general regulations as the bike ride.

Participants will enjoy refreshments, a communal lunch at the firefighters’ headquarters, and receive a t-shirt, souvenir, insurance, hot shower, and bike wash. The event is organized by the Celorico da Beira Firefighters and emphasizes safety, environmental respect, and community spirit.

The Caminhada e Trail “A Pérola da Zebreira” is a non-competitive walking and trail running event taking place on May 31, 2026, in Macieira, Sernancelhe. It offers three routes: a 7 km walk, a 7 km mini trail, and a 13 km short trail, catering to a wide range of fitness levels from accessible to medium/high difficulty.

Open to participants aged 5 to 80 years, the event promotes physical activity in a natural setting while showcasing the local customs and landscapes of Macieira. The event atmosphere is non-competitive and inclusive, with no timing or ranking, and participants receive a commemorative memento for their participation.

The event includes solid and liquid aid stations along the routes, safety support with an ambulance and off-road vehicle, and encourages appropriate gear and hydration. It also provides access to nearby shower facilities.

The XVI Raid BTT SodiGás – Margens do Cávado is a mountain bike raid event taking place on May 31, 2026, starting and finishing at Praia Fluvial de Merelim S. Paio in Braga, Portugal. The event features a competitive 45 km raid and a non-competitive 25 km family ride, both traversing diverse trails and rural paths across several municipalities.

Open to all participants without physical limitations, the raid welcomes riders aged 18 and over for the 45 km race and from 14 years old for the family ride. The event promotes active leisure, group spirit, and the scenic riverside region of Cávado, offering a varied course with forest trails and rural roads.

Alongside the bike events, a medium-difficulty walk is held 30 minutes after the start, open to all without registration, creating a family-friendly atmosphere. The race includes multiple categories for men and women, including elite, master, gravel, and e-bike divisions, with trophies awarded to top finishers and teams.

The MOINHOS CHALLENGE 2026 is an obstacle race taking place on May 31, 2026, in Capela, Penafiel. The race starts at 09:30 with a course approximately 12 km long featuring natural and artificial obstacles of varying difficulty along trails within the parish.

Participation is open to athletes aged 16 and over, with individual and team categories (2 or 4 members, mixed teams allowed). The event promotes personal challenge, team spirit, and connection with nature, offering a competitive yet supportive atmosphere.
