Autumn brings cooler temperatures, golden landscapes, and the perfect backdrop for cycling across Portugal.
November may mark the end of the racing season, but it’s also a month full of incredible events — from coastal granfondos to inland mountain bike marathons.

Here are five cycling races happening in Portugal this November 2025 that every rider should keep on their radar. 👇

🗓️ November 2 – Granfondo Portimão

📍 Portimão, Algarve

The Granfondo Portimão returns to the Algarve with routes of 130 km (Granfondo), 104 km (Mediofondo), and 69 km (Minifondo).
Riders will pedal through stunning coastal scenery, rolling terrain, and some of the Algarve’s most iconic viewpoints.

With mild weather, smooth roads, and a festive atmosphere, this is the perfect way to close the road cycling season.

💡 Tip: Ideal for testing endurance and speed in perfect late-season conditions — warm sun, calm air, and ocean views.

🗓️ November 9 – Rota das Adegas

📍 Torres Vedras, Lisbon Region

Wine, trails, and wheels — that’s the Rota das Adegas. 🍇
Covering around 40 km of mixed terrain with about 600 m of elevation gain, this mountain bike route passes through vineyards, dirt roads, and forest paths, ending with a visit to a local wine cellar.

It’s not just a race — it’s a cultural and sensory experience on two wheels.

💡 Tip: Take your time and enjoy the journey — this is a ride to be savoured, not rushed.

🗓️ November 16 – Os Chaparros 2025

📍 Grândola, Alentejo

The Os Chaparros BTT offers pure Alentejo charm: sand trails, cork oak forests, and open landscapes.
This is a community-driven event that welcomes cyclists of all levels for a day of challenge, camaraderie, and nature.

💡 Tip: Expect variety — from smooth rolling sections to loose sand climbs. Ride smart and enjoy the rural beauty.

🗓️ November 23 – XVIII MTB Marathon Terras do Montado

📍 Ferreira do Alentejo
👉 See event

One of Portugal’s classic mountain bike marathons, the Terras do Montado takes riders through the Alentejo’s oak forests and agricultural landscapes.
Expect sandy trails, long straight stretches, and the authentic rural spirit that defines this region.

💡 Tip: Bring versatile tyres — the terrain alternates between hard-packed dirt and soft, loose sections.

🗓️ November 30 – ADCLamas BTT & Al-Buhera X Rota

📍 Lamas (Aveiro) & Albufeira (Algarve)
👉 ADCLamas BTT | Al-Buhera X Rota

November ends with two MTB events happening in opposite corners of Portugal.

  • ADCLamas BTT offers fast and technical trails in the Aveiro region — great for those who like short, intense rides.
  • Al-Buhera X Rota, in Albufeira, delivers coastal climbs, rolling hills, and warm southern sunshine — a perfect way to finish the cycling season.

💡 Tip: Whether you choose north or south, November is made for riding at your own rhythm — and for pure enjoyment.
