The race features two main distances: the Standard with a total of 25.510 km (3.360 km swimming and 22.150 km running) and the Sprint with a total of 11.380 km (2.230 km swimming and 9.150 km running). Both formats include multiple transitions and significant elevation gain, challenging participants with diverse trails and sea crossings.
Open to all athletes, the race is organized locally by the Ludens Machico club with support from the Madeira Regional Triathlon Association. The event highlights Madeira’s stunning landscapes, mild climate, and the thrill of ocean and mountain terrain, creating a festive and adventurous atmosphere for participants from Portugal and abroad.
The Triatlo de Moimenta da Beira is a road triathlon event held on August 1-2, 2026, in Moimenta da Beira, Portugal.
