ALVELOS AT NIGHT 2026

The Trail da Formiga is a trail running event taking place on August 2, 2026, in Louro – Vila Nova de Famalicão. The main race covers a 16 km distance through rural trails and paths in the municipality.

Open to various age categories for both men and women, from 18 to 90 years old, the event also includes a non-timed 10 km walk for participants aged 2 to 90. Organized by Associação BTT 9:15 Louro, it offers a recreational and sporting experience in a scenic rural setting.

The 10th Edition of the Trail Rota dos Espigueiros is a trail running event taking place on August 2, 2026, in Caparrosinha, Silvares, Tondela, Portugal. It features multiple race distances including a Long Trail of 31 km with 1100m elevation gain, a 22 km trail with 750m elevation gain, a Short Trail of 15 km with 500m elevation gain, a Kids Trail, and a Cultural Walk of 8 km.

The Long Trail, 22K Trail, and Short Trail are part of the National Trail Running Circuit in the Trail, Sprint, and Youth categories respectively. The event is open to participants aged 18 and over for the longer distances, 16+ for the short trail, and 5+ for the Kids Trail, with a maximum age limit of 75 years. The course offers a mix of forest, mountain, and rural landscapes with technical sections, river crossings, and forest trails, providing a challenging and scenic experience.

The event includes competitive individual and team classifications with prize money and trophies, as well as a family-friendly atmosphere with a cultural walk and kids’ race, making it suitable for a wide range of participants.

The Trail do Gadanha is a trail running event taking place on July 26, 2026, organized by AGE – Associação Gestos e Encontros with support from the Junta de Freguesia de Barroças e Taias. The event features competitive races of approximately 22 km (Trail Longo) and 14 km (Trail Curto), as well as a non-competitive 12 km Caminhada (walk).

The races start in the morning with the Trail Longo at 09:30, Trail Curto at 09:40, and the Caminhada at 10:00. The event promotes sporting engagement and social interaction among participants.

The 1st Trail de Arrifana, “Corre Quem Pode, Caminha Quem Quer”, takes place on July 26, 2026, in Arrifana, Santa Maria da Feira, Portugal. Organized by A.A.R.C.C. – Associação Arrifana Running Corrida e Caminhada, with the support of the Parish Council of Arrifana and Santa Maria da Feira Municipality, the event combines sport and nature through trail running and walking routes in the local area.

The event includes a 15 km trail race and a 7 km walk, designed for participants who want either a more demanding trail experience or a more relaxed outdoor activity. The routes explore the natural trails of Arrifana and the surrounding municipality of Santa Maria da Feira.
