Start times per category/distance: 8:00 Elite start with rolling start every 5 seconds for groups of six athletes

Cut-off times:
• Swim: 1 hour from each athlete’s start time
• Last cycling segment start: 11:20
• Run segment start: 12:20
• Race finish: 14:50

Bib pick-up time and location:
• September 25, 14:00–18:00 and September 26, 10:00–17:00 at Hotel Sines Sea View

Participants limit: Relay teams limited to 50 entries

Surface types:
• Swim: open water in Baía de Sines
• Cycling: paved roads
• Running: asphalt, cobblestone, and bike path with 107 m elevation gain

Course format: Swim 1 lap (2 km), cycling 3 laps (~27 km each), running 3 laps (6 km each)

Race routes:
• Swim: single loop in Baía de Sines
• Cycling: three laps starting and finishing at Passeio Vasco da Gama
• Running: three laps starting and finishing at Passeio Vasco da Gama

Timing method: Electronic chip timing with individual and relay classifications

Toilets and aid station placement:
• Cycling aid stations at km 20.4, 33.4, 46.8, 60, and 73.2 with liquids and solids
• Running aid stations every 3 km with liquids and solids
• Finish area with hydration and food

Prizes: Medals and finisher kits for all finishers; trophies for top 3 overall male and female, top 3 age groups, top 3 teams, and top 3 relay teams

FAQ

How do I register for the Sines Triathlon?

Registration is done through the official website sinestriathlon.pt. After registration, payment must be made within 72 hours via multibanco reference, VISA, or MB Way.

Can I participate as part of a relay team?

Yes, relay teams of 2 or 3 members are allowed, with a limit of 50 teams. Each segment must be completed by a different team member.

What is the cut-off time for the swim segment?

The swim segment cut-off time is 1 hour from the individual athlete's start time.

Is there a minimum age to participate?

Participants must be at least 18 years old according to the calendar year.

Where and when can I pick up my race kit?

Race kit pick-up is available on September 25 from 14:00 to 18:00 and September 26 from 10:00 to 17:00 at Hotel Sines Sea View.
