28th Great Easter Prize in Athletics

The 25th District Short Cross-Country Championship will take place on April 3, 2026, at E.M. Fontelo – Setor de Lançamentos. This cross-country running event features races for various age categories including Benjamins (Sub-10 to Sub-12), Infantis (Sub-14), Iniciados (Sub-16), Juvenis (Sub-18), Sub-20 to Senior, and Masters.

The championship is open to both affiliated and non-affiliated athletes across multiple youth and masters categories, providing competitive opportunities for a wide range of runners. The event is part of the district athletics calendar organized by the Portuguese Athletics Federation.

The Rota das Ovelhas is a trail running event taking place on April 3, 2026, in Jardim de Lajeosa do Dão, Viseu, Portugal. It features three modalities: Trail Running (25.7 km with 817 m elevation gain), Sprint Trail (13.5 km with 428 m elevation gain), and a non-competitive walk (13.5 km with 428 m elevation gain).

The event is open to participants aged 18+ for Trail Running, 16+ for Sprint Trail, and 12+ for the walk, with minors requiring signed responsibility terms and accompaniment for younger walkers. TRAIL KIDS Isabelinha 2026 is a fun and safe trail running event for children, taking place on April 4, 2026, at Largo Dr. Manuel Barbosa, Viatodos, Barcelos. The race is designed specifically for young participants, encouraging early sports practice in contact with nature within a family-friendly environment.

The event features age-specific distances: 250 meters for children up to 6 years old, 750 meters for ages 7 to 10, 1500 meters for ages 11 to 13, and 2100 meters for ages 14 to 15. Participation requires mandatory registration and is open to children aged 0 to 15 years.
