3rd BTT "ROTA DO PAIVA"

The XIII BTT and Walk of the Celorico da Beira Firefighters will take place on May 31, 2026, in Celorico da Beira, Guarda. This event includes a 30 km mountain bike ride and a 10 km walk, both non-competitive and open to all registered participants.

The mountain bike route features medium to high difficulty over rural trails, paths, and municipal roads, with marked signage and support vehicles along the course. The walk follows the same general regulations as the bike ride.

Participants will enjoy refreshments, a communal lunch at the firefighters’ headquarters, and receive a t-shirt, souvenir, insurance, hot shower, and bike wash. The event is organized by the Celorico da Beira Firefighters and emphasizes safety, environmental respect, and community spirit.

The XVI Raid BTT SodiGás – Margens do Cávado is a mountain bike raid event taking place on May 31, 2026, starting and finishing at Praia Fluvial de Merelim S. Paio in Braga, Portugal. The event features a competitive 45 km raid and a non-competitive 25 km family ride, both traversing diverse trails and rural paths across several municipalities.

Open to all participants without physical limitations, the raid welcomes riders aged 18 and over for the 45 km race and from 14 years old for the family ride. The event promotes active leisure, group spirit, and the scenic riverside region of Cávado, offering a varied course with forest trails and rural roads.

Alongside the bike events, a medium-difficulty walk is held 30 minutes after the start, open to all without registration, creating a family-friendly atmosphere. The race includes multiple categories for men and women, including elite, master, gravel, and e-bike divisions, with trophies awarded to top finishers and teams.

The 14th edition of the 3-hour MTB Endurance Race “Engenho Novo” will take place on May 31, 2026, in Paços de Brandão, Portugal. This event is part of the Bike Challenge Resistências Terras De Santa Maria Championship and welcomes all individuals aged 15 and above, with no need for a cycling federation license.

Participants can compete in various categories including Juniors, Elite, Masters, and E-Bikes, with race durations ranging from 1.5 to 3 hours depending on the category. The race features a competitive atmosphere with individual and team classifications, including prizes for the top male, female, and E-Bike finishers, as well as the largest team.

The race starts at the entrance of Quinta do Engenho Novo in Paços de Brandão, with facilities including parking and showers available at the nearby GRIB premises. The event offers a challenging endurance format with a focus on mountain biking skills and strategy.

The Intermunicipal Cup 3H Resistance MTB is a mountain bike endurance race series consisting of six events held in various locations including Alenquer, Loures, Mafra, Oeiras, Amadora, and Lisbon. The races take place in 2025 and 2026, with the first event scheduled for May 31, 2026.

Participants can compete in the 3-hour resistance race or in juvenile MTB races held on the same day. The event is open to licensed and non-licensed athletes aged 5 and above, with categories for all ages and genders, including e-Bikes. The race features circuits approximately 4 to 7 km for the 3-hour race and 1 to 3 km for juvenile races, with specific distances for younger categories.

The competition is part of an intermunicipal series with a points system and prizes for top finishers in each category and overall. The event promotes competitive amateur cycling with a structured format including start boxes and timed laps, supported by technical and medical assistance.
