The 13th Benfeita Trail is a pure trail running event taking place on July 19, 2026, in the Aldeia de Xisto da Benfeita, Arganil. It features two races: a Short Trail of approximately 21 km and a Mini Trail of approximately 11 km.

The Short Trail is part of the District Trail Circuit – ADAC and the National Trail Sprint Circuit – ATRP, while the Mini Trail is part of the National Youth Trail Circuit – ATRP. The event is organized by the Trail Team / Athletics S. C. Povoense – Caracóis de Corrida with support from local authorities and partners.

Start times per category/distance: Both Trail Curto (21 km) and Mini Trail (11 km) start at 09:00

Cut-off times: Trail Curto has a time barrier at approximately 18 km with a maximum time of 3h30; athletes exceeding this will be disqualified

Surface types: Trail running terrain

Race routes: Trail Curto approximately 21 km; Mini Trail approximately 11 km

Timing method: Continuous timing by www.runmanager.net from start signal to finish line

Toilets and aid station placement:
• Trail Curto: 3+1 aid stations (Benfeita, Sardal, Benfeita, and finish)
• Mini Trail: 1+1 aid stations (Benfeita and finish)

Prizes: Awards for top 3 overall male and female in both races, top 3 in each age category, and top 3 teams; prize ceremony at Praia Fluvial from 12:30
