15th MARATHON "ROUTE OF THE CASQUEIRO"

The Passeio de BTT organized by Associação Os Teimosos de Barbeita is a mountain bike event taking place on March 1, 2026, in Barbeita, Viseu. The ride starts at 09:00 from the Recinto das Festas de Barbeita.

The XXXVII Passeio de Cicloturismo das Amendoeiras em Flor 2026 is a cycling tour event scheduled for March 1, 2026, in Vila Nova de Foz Côa, Guarda district, Portugal. The event begins at 09:00, with the route covering approximately 50 km starting and finishing in Foz Côa with a stop for refreshments in the Almendra parish.

This leisurely cycling event is open to all participants, emphasizing enjoyment, fitness, and camaraderie rather than competition, with an average speed of 17 km/h recommended. The event is integrated into the local Amendoeira em Flor festivities, providing a unique cultural and scenic experience among the blossoming almond trees and the beautiful landscape of the region.

The UCI Gran Fondo World Series Coimbra Region is Portugal’s most international mass-participation cycling weekend, and the only Iberian qualifier on the UCI Gran Fondo calendar. Across two days, riders 19+ tackle a 10:00 Individual Time Trial in Coimbra (Sat, 28 Feb 2026) and the Granfondo/Mediofondo mass start in Montemor-o-Velho (Sun, 1 Mar 2026, 09:00). Courses are fully timed, with age-group results by gender under UCI “Cycling for All” rules. The ITT rolls along the Mondego with medium difficulty, while Sunday’s routes cut through castle vistas, rice fields and river plains. Top finishers by age group earn qualification rights for the 2026 UCI Gran Fondo World Championships (Niseko, Japan), making this a weekend that blends performance, scenery, and a real shot at Worlds.
