Foz Côa Douro Trail Adventure / 3-stage race

Celebrating 16 years of adventure and heritage, the Trail de Conímbriga Terras de Sicó returns for its 17th edition with seven races over three days — including the epic 111 Milhas Terras de Sicó, a qualifying race for Western States 2027.

Runners of all levels can choose from ultra-endurance challenges to short trail and walking options, all across the wild limestone landscape of the Sicó Mountains, rich in Roman history and natural beauty.

The 7th Trail dos Diabos is a trail running event taking place on February 21, 2026, in Vinhais, Portugal. The race features a single trail distance of approximately 16 km, starting and finishing in the center of Vinhais.

The competition is open to athletes affiliated with the Portuguese Athletics Federation and individual popular runners, with foreign athletes participating by invitation only. The event includes various age categories from Sub-20 to Veteran 70+.

Participants will experience the natural trails of the Montesinho Natural Park and the cultural atmosphere linked to the traditional Diabos celebration in Vinhais. There is also a non-competitive walk held on the same day.

The Trail Costa Norte by ADSP is a trail running event taking place on February 21, 2026, in Ribeira Grande. It features multiple distances including the Trail Sprint (22 km with 749 m elevation), Mini-Trail (12 km with 351 m elevation), and a 12 km Walk, catering to a broad range of participants.

The event is open to the public with minimum age limits depending on the race type: 18 years for the Trail Sprint, 16 for the Mini-Trail, and the Walk allows children accompanied by an adult. The Trail Sprint is part of the São Miguel Trail Circuit, attracting both competitive and recreational runners.

Runners will experience diverse terrain including trails, streams, pastures, and roads, with careful attention to environmental preservation. The race offers a friendly and supportive atmosphere with post-race amenities such as hot showers and a finisher meal, making it a comprehensive trail event for all levels. There are team classifications and awards, and the event includes a mini-trail and a walk alongside the main sprint race.

The 2nd Cross da Senhora da Penha is a cross-country running event taking place on February 22, 2026, in Alva, Castro Daire, Portugal. It features a main race of 10.8 km, a 7 km walk, and youth races for various age categories from Benjamins to Juvenis.

This event is open to athletes and walkers of all ages and genders, both federated and recreational, representing clubs, schools, or participating individually. It is part of the “(PER) CORRER CASTRO DAIRE” 2026 series as its first stage.

The race offers a natural terrain experience with marked courses and includes a festive prize ceremony with medals and monetary awards for top finishers, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all participants.
