The first edition of the Eco Run Cabeço de Vide – Fronteira will take place on August 30, 2025, combining night racing, nature, and history. The event is organized by Escola de Atletismo PTG-Associação, Atlético Clube Fronteirense, and the Municipality of Fronteira, with technical support from AADP.
Participants can choose from a competitive 14.5 km or 10 km race, or a non-competitive 10 km walk. The longer race starts near the Cabeço de Vide train station and finishes near the Batalha dos Atoleiros Interpretive Center, a symbolic historic landmark.
Open to all age categories — from young Benjamins to Veterans 65+ — the Eco Run offers both urban and dirt terrain and is designed to promote healthy living and local heritage. Prizes include trophies, age group medals, and cash awards for top finishers and teams.
The Corrida Rosa is a women-only running event celebrating fitness, community, and empowerment. Taking place on August 30, 2025 in Lourosa, Santa Maria da Feira, Aveiro, it offers both a competitive 5 km run and a 5 km walk for those who prefer a relaxed pace with friends and family.
Organized by the Associação Obra do Frei Gil and the Municipality of Santa Maria da Feira, with support from the Lourosa Parish Council, the event combines a festive atmosphere with a shared goal of promoting health and solidarity. Open exclusively to women aged 18+ for the run (walk allows minors if accompanied by an adult), the Corrida Rosa welcomes athletes of all fitness levels.
The 8th Trail Feira das Cebolas takes place on August 31, 2025, in Gondifelos, Vila Nova de Famalicão. Organized by Dragon Club with institutional support from local parishes and the municipality, this event is part of the Vila Nova de Famalicão municipal trail championship.
Participants can choose from a long trail (20 km), short trail (14 km), or an 8 km walk, all starting and finishing at the Gondifelos leisure park.
Open to runners aged 18+ for trail and 14+ for the walk, the event promotes local sport and community spirit, offering varied terrain, age group categories, team competition, and a festive post-race environment with podiums and support.
It’s a well-marked course with timing services, finisher prizes, showers, and ample safety support.
The 7th Edition of the Corrida e Marcha Passeio de São João da Degola takes place on 24 August 2025 in Vila Real de Santo António, Portugal, starting and finishing at Largo São João da Degola, Manta Rota. Integrated into the celebrations of São João da Degola, this event offers a 10 km run and a 7 km walk, both featuring a scenic out‑and‑back route along boardwalks, dirt tracks, asphalt, and sandy stretches by the coastline. Open to federated, non‑federated, and international athletes, the event welcomes participants from the age of 18 in multiple competitive age groups, while also catering to recreational walkers. The festive seaside atmosphere makes it appealing to both competitive runners and those seeking a relaxed, community‑oriented activity.
