It features a super sprint distance for the Campeonato Absoluto de Lisboa e Alto Alentejo and adapted distances for the Campeonato Jovem de Lisboa e Alto Alentejo, catering to various youth age groups.

The event is open to licensed athletes born up to 2010 for the absolute championship and to athletes born between 2019 and 2009 for the youth championship. It serves as the first scoring race for the Campeonato Absoluto and includes individual and team classifications by age and gender.

The relay teams consist of three members from the same club, either all male or all female, competing in a Super-Sprint duathlon. The youth competition includes categories for Benjamins, Infants, and Initiates with distances adapted to each age group. Participation is exclusive to licensed athletes from Juveniles to Age Group 100+.

The event is organized by the Regional Triathlon Association of Madeira and the Santana City Council, with support from various local sponsors. The race route includes running and cycling segments around the Faial Balneal Complex, featuring a karting circuit and coastal roads.
