Hero Challenge is an indoor fitness competition combining running with eight functional workout stations. The competition is completed exclusively in teams of two, with Men’s, Women’s and Mixed divisions.

Teams complete seven 800 m runs for a total of 5.6 km, alternating these running sections with eight functional workouts including BikeErg, SkiErg, sled work, carries, lunges and burpees.

Both athletes must run together throughout every running section, while the functional workouts are completed using a You Go, I Go format. Teams can decide how to divide the required repetitions or distance between the two athletes.
