The X Half Marathon of Faro is a daytime running event organized by the Municipality of Faro with technical support from the Algarve Athletics Association. It will take place on April 10, 2026, starting at 17:00, with races beginning at Praia de Faro and finishing at Jardim Manuel B\u00edvar in Faro.<\/p>\n

The event offers a Half Marathon distance of 21.097 km, a Mini Marathon of approximately 10.5 km, and a Walking event of approximately 11 km. It is open to athletes from various sports backgrounds including federated, INATEL, school, military, and popular categories, covering age groups from under 23 to veterans.<\/p>\n

Participants receive an athlete kit including a bag, bib with chip (except for walking), and t-shirt, along with sports insurance and a finisher medal for running events. The race features refreshment points along the course and a maximum duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes. Cancellation & refund policy:<\/strong> The event may be cancelled due to external factors such as natural disasters, strikes, demonstrations, route obstructions, telecommunications failure, government restrictions, or new legislation. No refunds except if the event is cancelled by the organizer or in case of injury or illness with medical proof.
