The Trail Run Real Priolo returns to S\u00e3o Miguel on 24 April 2027 for its seventh edition, offering runners the opportunity to explore the breathtaking landscapes of Nordeste through one of the Azores’ flagship trail running events. Recognised by the Portuguese Trail Running Association (ATRP), ITRA and the UTMB World Series, the event combines challenging mountain trails with the natural beauty of one of the island’s most iconic regions.<\/p>\n

The programme includes four competitive races \u2014 a demanding 49 km Ultra<\/strong>, 30 km Trail<\/strong>, 18 km Trail Sprint<\/strong> and 12 km Mini Trail<\/strong> \u2014 alongside a 9.3 km recreational walk<\/strong>. The routes traverse forest trails, agricultural paths, streams and protected natural areas, showcasing the rich biodiversity and dramatic scenery that make Nordeste one of S\u00e3o Miguel’s premier trail running destinations.<\/p>\n

Designed for both experienced trail runners and newcomers to the sport, the event offers different levels of technical difficulty while maintaining a strong commitment to environmental sustainability and the preservation of the Priolo’s natural habitat.
