The Trail da Raia is an international trail running event taking place on Saturday, August 8, 2026, in Aldeia do Bispo – Sabugal, Guarda, Portugal. It features multiple competitive distances: Trail Ultra (45 km), Trail Longo (31 km), Trail Curto (16 km), and Trail Mini (11 km), as well as initiation routes including a walk and a kids’ trail.<\/p>\n

The event is open to participants of various ages starting from 6 years old for the kids’ trail up to adults for the ultra trail, with no mention of license requirements. The race courses traverse rugged terrain along rural paths and historic smuggler trails between Portugal and Spain, offering a unique cultural and natural experience in the Serra da Malcata protected area.<\/p>\n
