The Urban Beer Mile in Barcelos is a unique urban race taking place on June 27, 2026, at the Parque da Cidade de Barcelos. This event features a 1-mile (approximately 1,609 meters) race on a dirt and uneven surface.<\/p>\n

Participants must be 18 years or older and the race combines running with beer drinking: athletes drink a beer before each of the four 400-meter laps, totaling four beers and four laps. The fastest athlete wins, with penalties for not finishing beers or vomiting.<\/p>\n
