The III Corrida \/ Caminhada Memorial Jo\u00e3o Maltez is a running and walking event taking place on June 28, 2026, in Rio de Moinhos and Gl\u00f3ria, Portugal. It features a 10 km competitive race, a 6.5 km walk, and several kids\u2019 races ranging from 500 to 3000 meters.<\/p>\n

The event is open to all athletes, federated and non-federated, with the 10 km race restricted to participants aged 18 and over. It honors the memory of Jo\u00e3o Maltez, a beloved athlete from the local community, and includes a solidarity component supporting a child named David, who suffers from epilepsy and cerebral palsy.<\/p>\n

The race routes are fully on asphalt and connect the two localities, with a rotating start and finish between Rio de Moinhos and Gl\u00f3ria.
