The Vila do Conde Peneda Ger\u00eas Extreme is a mountain bike adventure race taking place on July 10, 11, and 12, 2026. The event covers approximately 300 km with 8000 meters of elevation gain, starting in Vila do Conde and finishing back there after three stages.<\/p>\n

Open to all cyclists aged 19 and over, whether federated or not, participants can compete solo or in pairs. The race requires GPS navigation and includes both motorized and non-motorized mountain bikes, though motorized bikes do not count for classification.<\/p>\n

The race is part of the Portuguese Cycling Federation regulations as an open event and offers a challenging route through rural paths, mountain trails, and public roads within the Peneda-Ger\u00eas National Park, combining endurance and navigation skills.<\/p>\n","organizer_description":"

Timing method:<\/strong> Electronic chip timing with GPS tracking and mandatory GPS device usage<\/p>\n

Toilets and aid station placement:<\/strong> Liquid and solid aid stations on course from 9:30 to 16:00; recovery meals at stage finishes; breakfast on days 11 and 12; dinner on days 10 and 11<\/p>\n

Drop bag policy:<\/strong> Transport of one personal bag per athlete (max 30L) between stage finishes<\/p>\n
