The IV Trilhos Castro de Santiago – Sunset Edition is a trail running event taking place on July 11, 2026, in Figueir\u00f3 da Granja – Fornos de Algodres. It features a long trail of approximately 21 km with 850 meters of elevation gain, a short trail of about 14 km with 450 meters of elevation gain, a mini trail, and a recreational walk of around 10 km with 300 meters of elevation gain.<\/p>\n

The event is open to all participants aged 18 and over for the long and short trails, with younger participants aged 11 to 14 allowed in the mini trail with legal guardian authorization. It is part of the Circuito de Trail da Beira Alta – VI(r)VER BEIRA ALTA and serves as its 5th stage, attracting athletes from various locations to share the trail running experience in the region.<\/p>\n

The race courses run predominantly on trails, rural paths, dirt roads, and streams surrounding adjacent villages, offering a natural and challenging environment.
