The Lagoa Swimrun is a swimrun race held in May along the stunning Algarve coast, starting at Ermida da Senhora da Rocha and finishing in the fishing village of Ferragudo. Now in its 5th edition, it is celebrated by swimrunners as one of the best courses with fantastic swims and breathtaking coastal views that are challenging depending on wind and weather conditions.<\/p>\n
The event offers three distance options: Standard (25.5 km total with 4.78 km swimming and 20.72 km running), Sprint (15.1 km total with 2.7 km swimming and 12.4 km running), and Experience (8.1 km total with 1.5 km swimming and 6.6 km running). The course traverses the trails of the Seven Hanging Valleys, famous as the best hiking destination in Europe, and includes iconic beaches, caves accessible only by sea, and remarkable natural formations along the way.<\/p>\n
